I am slowly learning that being a pioneer is hard work. Really, really hard work that seems never ending. While it's rewarding in its own way, it kind of sucks when that work is interrupted by a very painful, very bloody injury. Maybe that happened to me yesterday. Maybe I was working on my very first independently designed (well, the pattern came from one of my guidebooks but I was working on the thing on my own) quilt and maybe I accidentally cut my finger with the rotary cutter. And maybe that delayed all of my plans by a few days because when I use my finger too much it bleeds and that's no fun. Particularly for my laptop and iPad. But we'll go into this lesson another time. Perhaps in the newsletter I am starting for the pioneer project. Which now has an official name–The Townhouse Pioneer.
I know I had said I wouldn't blog about the project, and I am not going to. Yet. But I figure the newsletter is pioneer appropriate and it's a way to a) keep those who want to know abreast of the project's progress and b) not innundate DMS with project updates.
